Mariam: ”I have been dreaming of studying abroad since I remember myself with student status and I can definitely say that Romania was the perfect location that made my dream come true under” Erasmus +“exchange program. Actually, I do not have enough words to share my admiration and excitement which overflowed me after this wonderful exchange program. It is one of the most impressive, incredible, and unforgettable experiences in my life! Personally, for me it was quite challenging and because of this even more fascinating as I had to adapt to the new conditions of life so far from my home country fast. Also, I had to get used to new types of tasks and requirements at the university; but all these details made the experience I gained from the semester even more amazing. It goes without saying these 4 months spent abroad were very useful for me as a professional, I gained a lot of life and learning experience in Romania.
The study process in USAMV Cluj Napoca was an important part for me. It was a combination of practice and theoretical methods during lectures; the process was full of practice like chemical analysis, wine tasting, and vine grafting classes which is the most important part of being a real professional in your specialty. I learned everything thoughtfully. I studied at the Horticulture faculty at USAMV Cluj Napoca. I want to mention that my teachers and also colleagues were so helpful, they translated everything from Romanian language into English for me. While I was there in Cluj Napoca, I took part in lots of trips all around the country which were organized by the university: vineyards, wine cellars, wine factories, and grafting places; it was impressive and the most interesting part for me. I had an opportunity to see and gain knowledge about the winemaking and viticulture technology of Romania.
It was my pleasure to spend my exchange program there at the USAMV Cluj. It was full of enduring emotions. My professors allowed me to share the history and technology of Viticulture and Winemaking of my country with them and my colleagues. It was impressive how everyone was interested in listening to my presentation.
I am really thankful to the “Erasmus +” exchange program as it gave me this chance in my life to meet very interesting people in Romania, and have relationships with fantastic professors at the University. They were major motivators and real friends for me during this semester!
